Ingredients
- 400 g of Worsvleis meat
- 2 onions
- 2 carrots
- 2 cucumbers
- 1 red onion
- 2 garlic cloves
- 200 ml of beef broth
- 1 teaspoon of chili powder
- 1 teaspoon of red chili flakes
- 1 teaspoon of chopped parsley
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 basil leaves
Method
- Cut the Worsvleis meat into small pieces and put it in a casserole.
- In a pan, sauté the red onion and garlic in a bit of oil.
- Add the chopped vegetables and sauté for 5 minutes.
- Add the Worsvleis meat to the casserole with the vegetables and pour in the beef broth.
- Bring to a boil, cover, and let it simmer for 45 minutes on medium heat.
- Add the spices, parsley, and basil leaves, mix well, and let it cook for another 10 minutes.
- Turn off the heat and serve your delicious Worsvleis stew.
