Ingredients

  • 250 g of flour
  • 100 g of sugar
  • 1 tablespoon of baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt
  • 100 ml of milk
  • 50 g of butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 100 g of fresh fruits (e.g., blueberries, cherries, or raspberries)
  • 50 g of icing sugar
  • 1 tablespoon of water
  • 1 tablespoon of lemon juice

Method

  1. In a bowl, mix the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  2. In another bowl, mix the milk, butter, and eggs until smooth.
  3. Combine the dry ingredients with the wet mixture and stir until you get a homogeneous dough.
  4. Arrange the fresh fruits on a baking tray and sprinkle with icing sugar, water, and lemon juice.
  5. Lay the dough on a baking paper, cover with another sheet and spread it out.
  6. Fold the edges of the baking paper and wrap around the dough to form a crust.
  7. Make a central cut in the crust and pour the fruit compote over it.
  8. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 25-30 minutes or until the crust is golden and the dessert is cooked.
