Viennese Schnitzel
Wiener Schnitzel is a classic Austrian dish, crispy and delicious.

Ingredients
- 4 veal cutlets, about 1.5 cm thick
- 300 grams of flour
- 2 eggs
- 300 grams of bread crumbs
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Oil for frying
- Optional truffle sauce: 1 tablespoon of olive oil, 1 chopped onion, 200 grams of black truffle, finely chopped
Method
- Season the veal cutlets with salt and pepper.
- Coat the cutlets in flour, then in beaten eggs, and finally in crushed bread crumbs, making sure they are well coated.
- Fry in hot oil over medium-high heat until golden and crispy.
- Serve with French fries or salad as a side.
- Serve with truffle sauce if desired.
The story
Wiener Schnitzel originated in the 19th century in Vienna, where it was traditionally made with veal cutlets that were breaded and fried until crispy.
