Sushi
Sushi is a traditional Japanese dish that combines fresh fish and vegetables with vinegar-seasoned rice.

Ingredients
- 400g of sushi rice
- 200ml of water
- 2 tablespoons of rice vinegar
- 1 red onion, sliced thinly
- 100g of salmon, cut into pieces
- 50g of tuna, cut into pieces
- 1 tablespoon of fresh ginger, sliced into strips
- 200g of avocado, sliced
- 200g of cucumber, cut into pieces
- 100g of radish, sliced thinly
- Soy sauce and wasabi to taste
- 30 sheets of nori
Method
- Wash the rice and cook it with water, then let it cool down.
- Mix the rice vinegar with the cooled rice.
- Prepare the various sushi components as described.
- Pack the rice in nori sheets and add the various components.
- Serve with soy sauce and wasabi to taste.
The story
Sushi has ancient origins but became popular in the 16th century when the Japanese started eating vinegar-seasoned rice without the fish.
