Shakshuka
A warm and delicious dish, shakshuka is a specialty of Israeli cuisine, featuring eggs poached in a tomato sauce and spices.

Ingredients
- 4 ripe tomatoes
- 1 onion
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 1 chili pepper
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- 1 teaspoon of black pepper
- 1 teaspoon of saffron
- 1 teaspoon of coriander
- 1 teaspoon of cumin
- 1 liter of chicken broth
- 4 eggs
- Salt to taste
Method
- Dice the tomatoes, garlic, onion, and chili pepper into small pieces.
- In a large pan, heat the olive oil over medium heat and sauté the garlic, onion, and chili pepper for 2-3 minutes.
- Add the tomatoes and cook over medium heat for 10-15 minutes, until the tomatoes are soft.
- In a bowl, mix the chicken broth, black pepper, saffron, coriander, and cumin.
- Make small indentations in the sauce with a fork and add the eggs.
- Season with salt to taste and cook over medium heat for 10-15 minutes, until the eggs are set.
- Serve hot, garnished with coriander and chili pepper flakes.
