Ingredients

  • 250 g of wheat flour
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
  • 1 onion
  • 200 g of ground beef
  • 100 g of mashed potatoes
  • 100 g of grated cheese
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • oil for frying

Method

  1. Mix the flour with the oil and egg until you get a homogeneous dough.
  2. Form small balls of dough about 2 cm in size.
  3. In a pan, sauté the onion and oil, then add the onion and ground beef, cook until the meat is fully cooked.
  4. While the meat is cooking, prepare the potato cream by mixing the mashed potatoes with the cheese and a bit of salt and pepper.
  5. Insert the potato cream into the dough balls and reform the pierogies.
  6. Fry the pierogies in a pan with hot oil until golden brown.
  7. Serve hot with a pat of butter or soy sauce.
