Saskatchewan Canadian Pierogies

These Saskatchewan Pierogies are rich and delicious, a traditional dish from the Canadian province of Saskatchewan.

Ingredients
- 250 g of wheat flour
- 1 egg
- 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
- 1 onion
- 200 g of ground beef
- 100 g of mashed potatoes
- 100 g of grated cheese
- salt and pepper to taste
- oil for frying
Method
- Mix the flour with the oil and egg until you get a homogeneous dough.
- Form small balls of dough about 2 cm in size.
- In a pan, sauté the onion and oil, then add the onion and ground beef, cook until the meat is fully cooked.
- While the meat is cooking, prepare the potato cream by mixing the mashed potatoes with the cheese and a bit of salt and pepper.
- Insert the potato cream into the dough balls and reform the pierogies.
- Fry the pierogies in a pan with hot oil until golden brown.
- Serve hot with a pat of butter or soy sauce.
