Ingredients

  • 200g of vermicelli
  • 1 liter of chicken broth
  • 1 green chili
  • 1 onion
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 100g of seafood (shrimp, clams, oysters)
  • 1 tablespoon of chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon of coriander
  • 1 tablespoon of sambal oelek
  • 1 lemon
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste

Method

  1. In a pot, bring the chicken broth and sliced green chili to a boil.
  2. In another pot, sauté the garlic and onion in a bit of oil.
  3. Add the seafood and cook for 5-7 minutes.
  4. In a bowl, mix the chili powder, coriander, and sambal oelek together.
  5. Add this mixture to the broth and stir well.
  6. Add the vermicelli to the broth and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  7. Squeeze the lemon and add the juice to the broth.
  8. Serve the vermicelli and seafood in bowls, pouring the broth over them and serve immediately.
