Ingredients
- 200g chicken liver
- 2 slices of whole wheat bread
- 100g sweet potatoes
- 50g tomatoes
- 50g onion
- 100g chickpeas
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Tomato sauce
- Tahini and hummus sauces
- 1 tablespoon vinegar
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Various condiments
Method
- Prepare the chicken liver: cut the liver into cubes, season with salt and pepper, fry in a pan with olive oil until golden and crispy.
- Prepare the sweet potatoes: cut the sweet potatoes into thin slices, fry in a pan with olive oil until crispy.
- Prepare the vegetables: cut the onions and tomatoes into cubes, mix in a bowl with vinegar and salt, let marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- Prepare the bread slices: toast the slices of whole wheat bread.
- Assemble the sabich: place a slice of bread at the bottom, add a spoon of tomato sauce, then a spoon of tahini or hummus sauce, then a spoon of crispy liver, then the marinated vegetables, finally add the crispy sweet potatoes. Repeat the order with the other bread slice.
- Serve the sabich with various condiments.
