Rfissa with Dried Fruits

A traditional Tunisian sweet that enhances the flavor with dried fruits, perfect for Christmas celebrations.

Ingredients
- 200g of dried fruits (raisins, figs, apricots)
- 200g of sugar
- 100g of semolina
- 2 eggs
- 1 packet of baking powder
- 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon of ground cardamom
- 1/2 teaspoon of ground sugar
- 100ml of oil
- 100ml of milk
Method
- Clean and chop the dried fruits into small pieces.
- In a bowl, mix the sugar, semolina, baking powder, cinnamon, and cardamom.
- Add the eggs, oil, and milk to the flour mixture, stirring well until you get a homogeneous dough.
- Add the dried fruits to the dough and gently mix them in.
- Form the dough into small spheres and place them on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
- Preheat the oven to 180°C and bake the spheres for 20-25 minutes, until they become firm.
- Let them cool before serving.
