Ingredients
- 500g all-purpose flour
- 25g granulated sugar
- 7g instant yeast
- 3 medium eggs
- 150ml whole milk at room temperature
- 80g softened butter
- 60g raisins
- 2 tablespoons maple syrup
Method
- In a large bowl, mix flour with sugar and yeast. Add eggs and milk, then incorporate butter until you have a smooth dough.
- Let the dough rest in a covered bowl for about 1 hour or until it has doubled in size.
- While the dough is resting, soak raisins in maple syrup and let them soften.
- Divide the dough into two equal parts and roll each part out into rectangles. Distribute the soaked raisins over each piece of dough.
- Cut strips from the dough and wrap them around the raisins to form rolls.
- Place the rolls on a greased baking sheet and let rise for about 30 minutes.
- Bake at 180°C (350°F) for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
