Ingredients

  • 4 eggs
  • 200 grams of sugar
  • 100 grams of flour
  • 1 teaspoon of caster sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of rum
  • 1 teaspoon of water
  • 1 teaspoon of saffron (optional)

Method

  1. Prepare the caramelization pan: put the sugar in a pan and cook over medium heat until it turns golden and becomes caramel.
  2. In another pan, beat the eggs with caster sugar, rum, and water.
  3. Add the flour and mix well to form a smooth batter.
  4. Pour the batter into the caramelized pan.
  5. Preheat the oven to 180°C and bake the Quindim for 30-35 minutes, until the surface is golden.
  6. Let it cool and serve cold.
