Ingredients
- 4 pork belly chops
- 400 ml of mustard sauce
- 100 g of butter
- 100 g of sliced zucchini
- 100 g of sliced carrots
- 100 g of cubed onions
- 10 basil leaves
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons of white wine vinegar
- 1 tablespoon of lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon of sugar
Method
- Prepare the pork belly chops by trimming the ends and brushing them with a bit of mustard sauce.
- Fry the pork belly in a pan with butter for about 5 minutes on each side, until they are crispy.
- In a saucepan, sauté the zucchini, carrots, and onions in a bit of butter, add the basil leaves, salt, and pepper.
- Add the mustard sauce, white wine vinegar, lemon juice, and sugar, stir well and bring to a boil.
- Place the pork belly in the mustard sauce and let it simmer for 5-10 minutes, until the sauce is thick and the pork is fully coated.
- Serve the pork belly with the mustard sauce hot, garnished with the vegetables and basil leaves.
