Ingredients

  • 500g of sagne
  • 600g of ripe tomatoes
  • 2 onions
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon of cane sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 teaspoon of red pepper flakes
  • 1 bottle of red wine
  • 100g of fresh basil
  • Water for cooking the pasta

Method

  1. In a pan, cook the tomatoes with a little water and a tablespoon of salt for 10 minutes. Then remove the tomatoes, break them into pieces, and pass the sauce through a sieve.
  2. In a pot, sauté the garlic and onions in a tablespoon of oil, then add the tomato sauce and red wine, stirring well.
  3. Bring to a boil and reduce the heat, let it simmer for 30 minutes, adding sugar and red pepper flakes to taste.
  4. Cook the pasta al dente in salted water.
  5. Add the fresh basil to the sauce and mix well, then serve the pasta with the tomato sauce.
  6. Serve immediately to enjoy the perfect taste.
