Ingredients

  • 400 g of mussels
  • 200 ml of dry white wine
  • 2 onions
  • 100 g of bacon
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 100 ml of lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 mint leaves
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil

Method

  1. Clean the mussels and boil them in salted water for 10 minutes, then rinse well.
  2. In a non-stick pan, sauté the garlic and onions in olive oil.
  3. Add the bacon cut into small pieces and cook until golden.
  4. Pour in the white wine and let the alcohol evaporate for a few minutes.
  5. Add the mussels and lemon juice, season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Cover and cook over medium heat for 5-7 minutes, checking occasionally.
  7. Turn off the heat, add the mint leaves, and serve immediately.
