Ingredients

  • 200g of Mopane worms
  • 1 onion
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon of balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon of ground ginger
  • 1 tablespoon of ground red pepper

Method

  1. Rinse the Mopane worms under running water and dry them.
  2. Fry the garlic in a pan with olive oil over medium heat.
  3. Add the onion and fry until it becomes golden.
  4. Add the Mopane worms, salt, pepper, ground ginger, and ground red pepper. Stir well.
  5. Cook over medium heat for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the worms become firm.
  6. Finally, add the balsamic vinegar and stir well.
  7. Serve hot and enjoy!
