Misal
A traditional Pune dish, misal is a flavorful and crunchy chickpea soup.

Ingredients
- 200 g of chickpeas
- 200 g of potatoes
- 100 g of onion
- 100 g of zucchini
- 100 g of red bell peppers
- 50 g of scallions
- 200 ml of water
- 100 ml of oil
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
- 50 g of fried chickpeas
- 50 g of fried chickpeas
Method
- Boil the chickpeas with water and salt for about 30 minutes. Drain.
- Dice the onion, zucchini, and bell peppers.
- In a pan, sauté the oil with the diced onion.
- Add the zucchini and bell peppers, cook for 5 minutes.
- Add the diced potatoes, cook for another 5 minutes.
- Add the chickpeas and broth, bring to a boil and cook for 10 minutes.
- Serve hot, garnished with fried chickpeas and scallions.
- Savory and crunchy, the misal is ready!
