A classic and exquisite breaded cutlet, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, served with French fries and salad.

Ingredients
- 4 beef cutlets
- 250 g of torn bread
- 1 egg
- 100 g of bread crumbs
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- 1 tablespoon of salt
- 1/2 teaspoon of pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon of nutmeg
- French fries and salad to taste
Method
- Prepare the beef cutlets, slice them into thick pieces and let them rest in the refrigerator.
- Crumb the bread in a container and add the oil, salt, pepper, and nutmeg.
- Beat the egg in another bowl.
- Dredge the cutlets first in the crumb mixture, then in the egg, and finally in the bread crumbs.
- Fry the cutlets in a pan with hot oil until golden.
- Serve immediately with French fries and salad.
The story
Cotoletta alla Milanese originated in the 19th century as a local version of Viennese cutlet, but it became a culinary symbol of Milan due to its simplicity and the quality of its ingredients.
