  • 1 vanilla pod or vanilla extract
  • Cold water for chilling
  • Powdered sugar for decoration

Method

  1. In a bowl, mix the flour, melted butter, sugar, and eggs until you get a homogeneous dough.
  2. Divide the dough into two equal parts and form two flat cylinders.
  3. In another bowl, mix the chopped almonds, powdered sugar, fresh cream, cocoa, and vanilla.
  4. Fill the cylinders with the almond cream and seal with the other part, forming a sfogliatella.
  5. Fry the sfogliatelles in boiling water, then cool them in cold water.
  6. Serve the sfogliatelles decorated with powdered sugar.
