Ingredients
- 1 kg of potatoes
- 500 g of shrimp
- 300 g of mussels
- 200 g of clams
- 100 g of prawns
- 100 g of mussels
- 1 lemon
- 2 onions
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 200 ml of olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 100 g of chopped parsley
Method
- Peel the potatoes, cut them into pieces, and fry them in hot oil until crispy.
- In a pan, sauté the chopped onion and garlic in olive oil.
- Add the seafood and mussels, cook over medium heat for a few minutes.
- Add the fried potatoes, lemon juice, salt, and pepper, mix well.
- Cook over medium heat for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Serve the marine paila with chopped parsley on top.
- Note that the marine paila is a typical dish from the port of Valparaíso.

The marine paila originates from the port city of Valparaíso, where sailors would prepare meals using leftovers from the previous night, combining various dishes into one hearty meal.
