Lokum (Turkish Delight)

A traditional Tel Aviv sweet that brings the taste of Turkey with its soft texture and lemon flavor.

Ingredients
- 200 g of sugar
- 100 g of honey
- 100 g of water
- 100 g of powdered gelatin
- 300 ml of water
- 1 lemon
- 1 tablespoon of rose water
- 1 tablespoon of rose water

Method
- In a saucepan, mix the sugar, honey, and water to dissolve the sweet. Bring to a boil.
- In another saucepan, mix the gelatin with 300 ml of cold water to dissolve it completely.
- As the sugar and honey solution starts to boil, add the dissolved gelatin. Stir well.
- Pour the solution into a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Let it cool.
- Add the lemon juice and rose water. Stir well.
- Let it cool completely, then cut into cubes or desired shapes.
- Serve fresh or keep in a closed container for a couple of days before serving.

Lokum, or Turkish Delight, arrived in Tel Aviv through the paths of trade and tourism, bringing the charm of Turkish cuisine.
