Ingredients
- 250 g of flour
- 150 g of butter
- 100 g of sugar
- 4 eggs
- 1 teaspoon of baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- Pinches of powdered sugar
- Grated feta cheese (optional)
Method
- In a large bowl, mix the flour, melted butter, sugar, eggs, baking powder, salt, and vanilla extract until you get a homogeneous mixture.
- Let the dough rest for 30 minutes.
- Divide the dough into small balls and place them on a baking tray lined with baking paper.
- Bake the koulourakia in a preheated oven at 180°C for 25-30 minutes, until they turn golden.
- Let the koulourakia cool on a wire rack and decorate with pinches of powdered sugar and grated feta cheese.
- Serve them fresh or store them in an airtight container for a couple of days.
