Kitfo is a traditional Ethiopian dish, served fresh and raw with a hint of Cayenne pepper.

Ingredients
- 200g of finely sliced beef
- 1 red onion
- 1 tablespoon of Cayenne pepper
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- 1 teaspoon of lemon juice
- Salt
- 2 tablespoons of fresh mint
- 2 tablespoons of green onion
- 1 teaspoon of saffron
- Chopped parsley
- Chopped tomatoes
Method
- Slice the beef finely and mix it with Cayenne pepper, lemon juice, and a little salt.
- Peel and chop the red onion and set aside.
- In a pan, heat the olive oil and cook the beef for 2-3 minutes, stirring frequently.
- Add the chopped red onion and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
- Add the saffron and fresh mint for a minute, then turn off the heat.
- Serve immediately with chopped parsley and chopped tomatoes.
- Squeeze some lemon juice over the dish before serving.
