Ingredients

  • 300 g of beef
  • 200 g of kibbeh
  • 1 onion
  • 1 zucchini
  • 1 chili pepper
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon of saffron powder
  • 100 g of stale bread
  • 1 tablespoon of fresh mint
  • 1 tablespoon of fresh parsley

Method

  1. Dice the onion, zucchini, and chili pepper into small pieces.
  2. In a bowl, mix the beef with the kibbeh, onion, zucchini, chili pepper, olive oil, salt, and pepper.
  3. In another container, mix the egg, saffron, stale bread, mint, and parsley.
  4. Form balls about 2 cm in diameter with the meat mixture.
  5. Dip the meat balls in the egg and saffron mixture to coat them.
  6. Fry the kibbeh in a pan with a little olive oil until they become crispy.
  7. Serve them hot as an appetizer.
