Ingredients

  • 1 kg of beef
  • 200 g of torn bread
  • 1 onion
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon of sugar
  • 1/2 tablespoon of rosemary
  • 1/2 tablespoon of thyme
  • 200 g of flour
  • Water for breading

Method

  1. Mix the meat, torn bread, garlic, olive oil, salt, pepper, egg, sugar, rosemary, and thyme.
  2. Shape the kibbeh into balls or cylinders.
  3. Boil the kibbeh for 10-15 minutes, then drain them.
  4. Dredge the kibbeh in flour and dampen with water for breading.
  5. Fry the kibbeh in hot oil until golden brown.
  6. Serve hot with tomato sauce or your preferred sauce.
