Kebab Khouresh

A traditional Iranian dish featuring grilled beef marinated in a sweet and sour sauce, served on a bed of rice.

Ingredients
- 500 g of beef cut into cubes
- 100 ml of wine vinegar
- 50 ml of lemon juice
- 3 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar
- 2 tablespoons of fresh ginger
- 2 tablespoons of black pepper
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 1 teaspoon of sugar
- 2 onions, sliced
- 100 g of bread slices
- 1 tablespoon of olive oil
- 1 tablespoon of fresh mint
- Cooked rice
Method
- In a bowl, mix the wine vinegar, lemon juice, apple cider vinegar, pepper, salt, sugar, and ginger.
- Add the beef cubes and let them marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- Prepare the charcoal for the barbecue and dry the beef cubes.
- Grill the beef cubes on a hot barbecue for 3-4 minutes on each side.
- In a pan, sauté the bread slices and onions in olive oil.
- Place the cooked rice on a plate, add the grilled beef cubes and top with the bread and onion sauce.
- Top the bread and onion sauce with the kebab and garnish with fresh mint.
- Serve hot.
