A traditional Austrian sweet, Kaiserschmarrn with Plums combines a fruit fritter with a plum compote.

Ingredients
- 1 kg of plums
- 200 g of sugar
- 1/2 liter of water
- 100 g of dried fruit
- 100 g of powdered sugar
- 4 eggs
- 100 g of flour
- 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla powder
- 1/4 liter of milk
- 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder
- 1 teaspoon of cinnamon powder
- 1/2 teaspoon of powdered sugar
Method
- Clean and slice the plums, place them in a pan with sugar and water, bring to a boil and simmer for 30 minutes, then let cool.
- While the plums are cooling, mix the eggs, flour, vanilla, milk, baking powder, and cinnamon in a bowl.
- Add the dried fruit to the plum compote and let cool.
- In a pan, fry the fruit fritter, cut it into pieces, and place it on a plate.
- Serve the Kaiserschmarrn warm with the Zwetschgenröster on top.
- Sprinkle powdered sugar on top for an extra touch of sweetness.

Kaiserschmarrn is a traditional Austrian dessert originating from the Salzburg region in the 19th century. The plum compote version is particularly cherished in the Salzburg area.
