Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups of flour
  • 1/2 cup of butter
  • 1/4 cup of sugar
  • 1/4 cup of warm water
  • 1/2 cup of sesame seeds
  • 1/2 cup of honey
  • 1/2 cup of dried fruits (almonds, walnuts, raisins)
  • 1/2 cup of spices (cardamom, cinnamon, ginger)
  • oil for frying
  • icing sugar for garnish

Method

  1. Mix the flour, butter, sugar, and warm water to form a dough.
  2. Divide the dough into 8-10 pieces and form them into circles.
  3. Place a spoonful of the dried fruit and spice mixture in the center of each circle, then seal the edges with sesame seeds.
  4. Fry the kachoris in hot oil until golden brown.
  5. Drain and dust with icing sugar.
