Ingredients

  • 400g of Hoki fish, cut into pieces
  • 200g of potatoes, cooked and mashed
  • 100g of chopped onion
  • 50g of butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 100g of grated cheese
  • 100g of toasted bread, crumbled
  • 200ml of fish stock
  • 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt
  • 100g of pea cream (optional)

Method

  1. Make the sauce with butter and garlic, add eggs and fish stock, stir well.
  2. Add the mashed potatoes, garlic, pepper, and salt, stir to combine the ingredients.
  3. Add the Hoki fish, stir gently to avoid breaking the fillets.
  4. Add the pea cream, if using, stir gently.
  5. Sprinkle with the crumbled toast and grated cheese.
  6. Bake in a baking dish in a preheated oven at 180°C for 30-35 minutes, until golden and crispy.
