A classic dish from Taif, mashed fava beans transform into a culinary masterpiece.

Ingredients
- 200 g of dried fava beans
- 50 g of olive oil
- 2 onions
- 1 tablespoon of dried onion
- 2 tablespoons of mashed chickpeas
- 1 chili pepper
- Salt to taste
- Water for boiling
- Chopped parsley
- Sesame seeds
Method
- Boil the dried fava beans in water for about 30 minutes until they are soft.
- Drain the fava beans and let them cool.
- Blend the fava beans until you get a smooth paste.
- In a pan, sauté the olive oil, onions, and chili pepper.
- Add the fava bean paste and mashed chickpeas, stirring well.
- Transfer the mixture to a deep dish, add salt to taste and garnish with parsley and sesame seeds.
- Serve hot or cold.
