Ingredients

  • 400g of whole wheat bread
  • 200g of mixed vegetables (potatoes, pumpkin, onion)
  • 50g of olive oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper
  • Water for soaking the bread
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 1 tablespoon of dried chili
  • Tomato sauce to taste

Method

  1. Peel and cut the vegetables into small pieces.
  2. In a pan, sauté the chopped onion and dried chili in olive oil.
  3. Add the vegetables and cook over medium heat for 15-20 minutes until tender.
  4. Meanwhile, cut the bread into cubes and soak it in water for 10 minutes.
  5. In a bowl, mix the soaked bread with the dried chili and salt.
  6. Add the cooked vegetables and tomato sauce, mixing well.
  7. Cook over medium heat for 5-10 minutes until the fitfit is warm and soft.
  8. Serve hot, accompanied by a bit of dried chili on the side.
