Ingredients

  • 2 kg of leeks
  • 400 g of sarmale
  • 2 onions
  • 2 meat skewers
  • 1 liter of meat broth
  • 1 liter of water
  • 500 g of potatoes
  • 500 g of zucchini
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon of dried cucumber
  • 1 teaspoon of vinegar

Method

  1. Peel the leeks, slice them thinly, and set aside.
  2. In a pot, heat the olive oil and sauté the finely chopped onions and garlic.
  3. Add the sarmale and meat skewers, sauté for a few minutes.
  4. Add the meat broth, water, cubed potatoes, and sliced zucchini.
  5. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer for 30-40 minutes.
  6. Add the leeks, dried cucumber, and vinegar. Cook for another 10-15 minutes.
  7. Serve hot in bowls with a bit of salt and pepper.
