Chả Lụa
This homemade Vietnamese snack, chả lụa, is perfect for parties and gatherings.

Ingredients
- 200 g of bacon
- 1 onion
- 100 g of ginger
- 300 ml of coconut oil
- 1 tablespoon of soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon of shoyu sauce
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
- 100 g of zucchini
- 100 g of shallots
- 200 g of vermicelli
Method
- Cut the bacon into thin strips.
- Finely chop the onion and ginger.
- In a pan, heat the coconut oil and cook the bacon until golden.
- Add the onion and ginger, cook for 2-3 minutes.
- Add the soy sauce, shoyu sauce, salt, and pepper, mix well.
- In a bowl, mix the bacon with the sauce and let it sit for 30 minutes.
- Slice the zucchini into thin rounds and fry in coconut oil.
- Dice the shallots and mix them with the bacon.
- In a bowl, combine the vermicelli with the bacon and shallots.
- Serve immediately.
The story
Chả lụa has a history dating back to the Lê dynasty, when it was served as an appetizer for more luxurious meals. Today, it is a popular snack in Vietnam and around the world.
