A traditional dish from Diourbel, Ceebu Jen is a delightful fish curry served with rice.

Ingredients
- 400 g of fish in pieces
- 100 g of rice
- 2 onions
- 2 red bell peppers
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1 chili pepper
- 100 ml of palm oil
- 2 tablespoons of curry powder
- 1 tablespoon of pepper
- Water for rice
- Soysauce
- Salt to taste
Method
- Chop the onions, bell peppers, and garlic.
- In a pan, sauté the onions and garlic in palm oil.
- Add the bell peppers and cook for a few minutes.
- Add the fish and cook for 5-7 minutes or until the fish is fully cooked.
- In another pot, cook the rice with water and salt.
- Add the curry and pepper to the fish and mix well.
- Serve the curry fish with warm rice.
- Add a generous amount of soy sauce to enhance the flavor.

Ceebu Jen has ancient roots and dates back to the French colonial era, when local fishermen began cooking it with imported spices.
