Ingredients

  • 400g of apple slices (Granny Smith)
  • 100g of toasted almonds
  • 200g of phyllo dough
  • 100g of sugar
  • 100g of butter
  • 1 teaspoon of cinnamon powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon of saffron
  • 100g of semisweet chocolate
  • 1 egg

Method

  1. Core and slice the apples, then gently press them with a fork to create a pocket.
  2. In a bowl, mix the butter, sugar, cinnamon, and saffron.
  3. Dip the apple slices in the butter mixture, allowing them to absorb the flavors.
  4. Place a strip of phyllo dough on a baking paper, add a slice of apple, and cover with another strip of phyllo dough.
  5. Repeat the process until all apple slices and phyllo dough are used.
  6. Pinch the briouats with a beaten egg and bake in the oven at 180°C for 15-20 minutes.
  7. Allow to cool, then decorate with pieces of semisweet chocolate.

The story
