A vibrant and refreshing drink typical of the Kaolack region in Senegal.

Ingredients
- 100 grams of dried sunflower petals
- 2 liters of water
- 1 lemon
- 100 grams of sugar
- 1 tablespoon of saffron
- 1 tablespoon of cinnamon powder
- 1 tablespoon of ginger powder
- 1 tablespoon of cardamom powder
- Ice and lemon juice to taste for serving
Method
- In a pot, add water and dried sunflower petals, bring to a boil and let it infuse for at least 30 minutes.
- Remove the petals and add lemon juice, sugar, saffron, cinnamon, ginger, and cardamom.
- Stir well and bring to a boil for one minute.
- Turn off the heat and let it cool.
- Serve chilled with ice and lemon juice to taste.
