Bameya is a traditional Suez dish, a blend of vegetables cooked with aromatic spices.

Ingredients
- 1 kg of mixed vegetables (tomatoes, onions, zucchini, squash)
- 200 g of dried beans
- 500 ml of olive oil
- 1 onion
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1 chili pepper
- 1 teaspoon of black pepper
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 1 teaspoon of cumin
- Water for boiling
- Pot or pan
Method
- In a pot, boil the dried beans in water for about 30 minutes.
- Cut the vegetables into uniform pieces.
- In a pan, sauté the onion and garlic in olive oil.
- Add the vegetables and chili pepper, sauté for 10 minutes.
- Add the boiled beans, black pepper, salt, and cumin.
- Stir well and simmer on low heat for 20 minutes.
- Serving: serve hot with bread.
- Ready to serve!
