Ingredients

  • 500 g of beef, fatty and lean
  • 2 onions
  • 2 carrots
  • 2 cucumbers
  • 1 chili pepper
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon of black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 bottle of red wine
  • 200 ml of beef broth
  • 100 g of chopped parsley

Method

  1. In a large pan, sauté the onions, carrots, cucumbers, and garlic in olive oil.
  2. Add the beef and cook until it's golden.
  3. Add the chili pepper and black pepper, stirring well.
  4. Pour in the red wine and let most of it evaporate.
  5. Add the beef broth and bring to a boil.
  6. Cook on medium heat for about 1 hour, or until the beef is fully cooked.
  7. Serve the beef with chopped parsley.
  8. Enjoy your meal!

Ballymaloe beef takes its name from the famous Ballymaloe Castle in Kerry, where it was developed during the latter half of the 20th century. This beef is renowned for its quality and unique taste, a result of a blend of tradition and innovation.
