Algarve Fish Soup
A warming Algarve fish soup, rich in flavor with hints of garlic, chili, and lemon juice.

Ingredients
- 2 kg of various fish, cut into pieces
- 2 onions, chopped
- 4 garlic cloves, sliced
- 2 ripe tomatoes, cubed
- 2 liters of fish broth
- 1/2 liter of white wine
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- 1 lemon, zested
- 1 tablespoon of chili
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 100 g of potato slices
- 100 g of tomato slices
- Chopped parsley for serving
Method
- In a large pot, heat the olive oil and sauté the garlic and onions until they become golden.
- Add the fish pieces and cook for 5-7 minutes until the fish is cooked.
- Add the tomatoes, fish broth, white wine, chili, salt, and pepper, and bring to a boil.
- Simmer for 15-20 minutes, adding the potato and tomato slices last.
- Serve the fish soup in warm bowls, garnished with chopped parsley.
