Ingredients
- 800g of onions
- 300g of flour
- 200g of butter
- 2 eggs
- 100g of sugar
- 1 tablespoon of salt
- 1 tablespoon of bread sugar
- 1 packet of yeast
Method
- Peel and thinly slice the onions.
- In a pan, sauté the onions in plenty of butter until they are golden and crispy.
- In another bowl, mix the flour, sugar, salt, yeast, and milk.
- Add the eggs and mix until you get a smooth dough.
- Form a crust with the onion dough in a pan and cover it with the flour dough.
- Preheat the oven and bake the Zwiebelkuchen for about 40-45 minutes.
- Let it cool down and serve warm.
