Żurek
A sweet and dense barley soup, served with eggs, sausages, and mushrooms.

Ingredients
- 250 g of barley
- 1 liter of water
- 2 eggs
- 100 g of sausages
- 100 g of mushrooms
- 1 onion
- 1 clove of garlic
- 1 mint leaf
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon of butter
Method
- In a pot, combine the barley with water and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and let it simmer for 2 hours.
- Meanwhile, slice the onion and mushrooms thinly.
- In a pan, sauté the onion in butter.
- Add the sliced mushrooms and cook for 5 minutes.
- Slice the sausages and mix them with the barley broth.
- Add the mint and garlic clove to the broth.
- Bring to a boil and cook for 10 minutes.
- In a bowl, gently beat the eggs in cold water for 5 minutes.
- Serve the hot broth with the eggs, sausages, and mushrooms on top.
