Zuger Kirschtorte

A light and exquisite cake, typical of the city of Zug, rich in currants and cream.

Ingredients
- 250 g of sugar
- 250 g of flour
- 250 g of butter
- 4 eggs
- 100 ml of milk
- 100 g of currants
- 200 ml of fresh cream
- 100 g of powdered sugar
- 1 vanilla pod
- 100 g of pulled sugar
Method
- Prepare the cake: mix the butter with the sugar, add the eggs one at a time, then the milk and vanilla.
- In another bowl, mix the flour with the currants seeds, add the butter mixture and mix until you get a homogeneous mixture.
- Divide the dough into two parts and bake two cakes separately, one with currants and one without.
- Whip the cream with the powdered sugar and vanilla.
- Whip the cream and decorate the cakes with the whipped cream and currants.
- Make sugar threads with the pulled sugar and decorate the cake.
- Let it cool and serve.
