Ingredients

  • 250 g of sugar
  • 250 g of flour
  • 250 g of butter
  • 4 eggs
  • 100 ml of milk
  • 100 g of currants
  • 200 ml of fresh cream
  • 100 g of powdered sugar
  • 1 vanilla pod
  • 100 g of pulled sugar

Method

  1. Prepare the cake: mix the butter with the sugar, add the eggs one at a time, then the milk and vanilla.
  2. In another bowl, mix the flour with the currants seeds, add the butter mixture and mix until you get a homogeneous mixture.
  3. Divide the dough into two parts and bake two cakes separately, one with currants and one without.
  4. Whip the cream with the powdered sugar and vanilla.
  5. Whip the cream and decorate the cakes with the whipped cream and currants.
  6. Make sugar threads with the pulled sugar and decorate the cake.
  7. Let it cool and serve.
