Yorkshire Pudding

A classic of English cuisine, Yorkshire Pudding is crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, perfect as a side with steak or roast beef.

Ingredients
- 250g of flour
- 4 eggs
- 300ml of milk
- 1 tablespoon of salt
- oil for frying
- salt to taste
Method
- In a bowl, mix the flour with the oil and salt.
- Add the eggs one at a time, stirring well after each addition.
- Gradually add the milk and stir until you get a smooth consistency.
- Let the mixture rest for 30 minutes.
- Preheat an oven-safe pan in the oven.
- Pour the mixture into pudding tins and bake in the oven at 200°C for 25-30 minutes.
- Serve hot with salt to taste.
The story
Yorkshire Pudding originated in the 18th century and is said to have been made using the drippings from beef cooking, with the addition of pork scraps or mayonnaise to make them rise and form a crust.
