Trentino Apple Cake

Ingredients
- 200 g of flour
- 100 g of sugar
- 2 eggs
- 100 g of butter
- 1 teaspoon of baking powder
- 100 g of chopped almonds
- 100 g of cocoa powder
- 100 g of honey
- 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon powder
- 1/2 teaspoon of turbinado sugar
- 1/4 cup of water
- 1 kg of cooked and diced apples
Method
- Prepare the flour by mixing the flour, baking powder, and cinnamon in a large bowl.
- In another bowl, mix the butter, sugar, eggs, honey, and turbinado sugar until you get a smooth mixture.
- Add half of the flour to the butter mixture, stirring well. Then add the water and mix until you get a homogeneous consistency.
- Add the remaining flour and chopped almonds, stirring gently.
- Finally, add the cooked apples and mix well.
- Check the consistency and adjust with a little water if needed.
- Bake the cake in a baking dish at 180°C for about 45-50 minutes, or until the surface is golden and easily detaches from the edges.
- Let it cool before serving.
