Ingredients
- 4 eggs
- 150 g of mascarpone
- 100 g of sugar
- 200 g of bitter chocolate
- 150 ml of strong coffee
- 125 g of pizza dough sheets
- 1 tablespoon of Marsala liquor
- Sugar for caramel
- Coffee for soaking
- Granulated sugar for decoration
Method
- Soak the pizza dough sheets in coffee and Marsala liquor, then place them in a bowl.
- Beat the eggs with sugar until you get a well-integrated cream.
- Add the mascarpone to the cream and gently mix.
- Melt the bitter chocolate and mix it with caramel.
- Layer the soaked sheets and the mascarpone mixture in a baking dish.
- Cover with the chocolate mixture and decorate with granulated sugar.
- Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
The story
The Tiramisù from Varese, like many dessert variations, has its origins in the 19th century, but it became famous across Italy only in the 1980s.
