These crispy and delicious Tayto-style potato chips are the perfect snack for a relaxing afternoon in Dublin.

Ingredients
- 500 g of potatoes
- 500 ml of sunflower oil
- Salt
- 1 tablespoon of balsamic vinegar
- 1 tablespoon of lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon of sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
- 1 tablespoon of olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon of paprika powder
Method
- Wash and thinly slice the potatoes.
- Soak the potato slices in cold water for 30 minutes to remove the starch.
- Drain and dry the slices thoroughly.
- In a large pan, heat the sunflower oil.
- Fry the thin slices of potato in a pan over medium-high heat to make the crackling.
- Once golden, remove the slices from the pan and place them in a baking dish to drain.
- In a bowl, mix the balsamic vinegar, lemon juice, sugar, pepper, and olive oil.
- Dip the potato slices in the mixture and let them sit for 10 minutes.
- Periodically stir the slices to ensure even coating with the mixture.
- Periodically sprinkle with paprika powder for an extra flavor touch.
