Ingredients

  • 500 g of potatoes
  • 500 ml of sunflower oil
  • Salt
  • 1 tablespoon of balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon of lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon of sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon of paprika powder

Method

  1. Wash and thinly slice the potatoes.
  2. Soak the potato slices in cold water for 30 minutes to remove the starch.
  3. Drain and dry the slices thoroughly.
  4. In a large pan, heat the sunflower oil.
  5. Fry the thin slices of potato in a pan over medium-high heat to make the crackling.
  6. Once golden, remove the slices from the pan and place them in a baking dish to drain.
  7. In a bowl, mix the balsamic vinegar, lemon juice, sugar, pepper, and olive oil.
  8. Dip the potato slices in the mixture and let them sit for 10 minutes.
  9. Periodically stir the slices to ensure even coating with the mixture.
  10. Periodically sprinkle with paprika powder for an extra flavor touch.
