Taho, a sweet and light Filipino dessert made of warm tofu and cane sugar.

Ingredients
- 200 g of tofu
- 1 liter of cane sugar syrup
- 100 g of powdered gelatin
- 200 ml of water
- Pinch of vanilla
- Whipped cream
- Fruit ice cubes
- Ice cubes
Method
- In a pot, mix the cane sugar syrup with water and powdered gelatin until it dissolves completely.
- Bring to a boil and cook for 5 minutes, then add a pinch of vanilla.
- Let it cool down and pour the syrup into a bowl.
- Cut the tofu into cubes and put them in a glass.
- Pour the cane sugar syrup over the tofu and top with whipped cream and fruit ice cubes.
- Serve immediately with ice cubes to keep the tofu warm.
The story
Taho originated on the streets of Manila, where street vendors prepared and sold it directly to customers.
