Suman
Suman is a traditional Filipino sweet made from rice flour and cane sugar, wrapped in banana leaves and cooked over fire.

Ingredients
- 200 g of rice flour
- 150 g of cane sugar
- 1 liter of water
- 4 banana leaves
- Pinches of cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon of sugar for final dusting
Method
- Mix the rice flour with the cane sugar and water until you get a smooth dough.
- Wrap the dough in banana leaves, making sure to tuck in the edges tightly.
- Place the suman in a pot and cover with additional banana leaves.
- Cook over low heat for about 30-40 minutes, checking periodically to ensure they don't dry out.
- Once cooked, let them cool and dust with sugar and cinnamon.

Suman has a history dating back to ancient times, when it was a popular snack among fishermen and farmers, easily made with local ingredients.
