Stir-Fried Meat with Holy Basil
A traditional Thai dish that combines smoked meat with the aromatic fresh holy basil leaves.

Ingredients
- 200 g of smoked meat (e.g., bacon or ham)
- 1 onion
- 200 g of holy basil
- 2 tablespoons of coconut oil
- 2 tablespoons of soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon of lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon of sugar
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 red onion
- 1 green bell pepper
- 1 chili pepper
Method
- Cut the smoked bacon into small pieces and fry it in a wok with coconut oil over medium heat until crispy.
- Chop the garlic, red onion, and green bell pepper into small pieces.
- Add the garlic, red onion, and green bell pepper to the bacon and cook for 2 minutes.
- Add the soy sauce, sugar, lemon juice, salt, and pepper, stir well and cook for another 2 minutes.
- Cut the chili peppers and bell peppers into small pieces and add them to the wok.
- Finally, add the holy basil leaves and cook for 1 minute until the leaves stick slightly to the wok lid.
- Serve immediately with Thai jasmine rice.
