Ingredients
- 400g of beef cut into cubes
- 200g of kidneys cut into cubes
- 1 large onion sliced
- 2 carrots diced
- 1 small onion diced
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1 liter of beef broth
- 100g of potatoes cut into cubes
- 100g of cabbage cut into pieces
- 1 pinch of black pepper
- 1 pinch of salt
- 2 bay leaves
Method
- In a pan, sauté the onion, garlic, and carrots in a bit of oil.
- Add the beef and kidneys, cook over medium heat until the meat is browned.
- Add the beef broth, potatoes, thyme, salt, and pepper, stir well.
- Cover and simmer over low heat for about 1 hour, checking occasionally to ensure the meat is well cooked.
- In a baking dish, place the meat and broth mixture, cover with the pastry lid.
- Bake in the oven at 180°C for 30-40 minutes, until the pastry is golden and the meat is fully cooked.
