Ingredients

  • 400g of beef cut into cubes
  • 200g of kidneys cut into cubes
  • 1 large onion sliced
  • 2 carrots diced
  • 1 small onion diced
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1 liter of beef broth
  • 100g of potatoes cut into cubes
  • 100g of cabbage cut into pieces
  • 1 pinch of black pepper
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 2 bay leaves

Method

  1. In a pan, sauté the onion, garlic, and carrots in a bit of oil.
  2. Add the beef and kidneys, cook over medium heat until the meat is browned.
  3. Add the beef broth, potatoes, thyme, salt, and pepper, stir well.
  4. Cover and simmer over low heat for about 1 hour, checking occasionally to ensure the meat is well cooked.
  5. In a baking dish, place the meat and broth mixture, cover with the pastry lid.
  6. Bake in the oven at 180°C for 30-40 minutes, until the pastry is golden and the meat is fully cooked.
